Botox Questions
What exactly does Botox do?
Botox blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can no longer contract, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. it is most often used on forehead lines, crow’s feet (lines around eyes), and frown lines.
Here are a couple of Botox before and after photos.

Is it safe?
Yes. botox was approved to be used medically in the late 1980’s by the FDA for ailments such as strabismus (lazy eye) and blepharospasm (uncontrolled blinking). Botox has been used cosmetically for years to treat wrinkles and facial creases. In April 2002, Botox gained FDA approval for treatment of moderate-to-severs frown lines between the eyebrows-called glabellar lines. However, Botox is often used for other areas of the face as well.

How often will I need to get Botox?
The effects of Botox typically last three to six months. As muscle action gradually returns, the lines and wrinkles begin to re-appear and wrinkles need to be re-treated. The lines and wrinkles often appear less severe with time because the muscles are being trained to relax.
Juvederm, Voluma, Vollure and Volbella Questions
How does it work?
Juvederm, Voluma, Vollure and Volbella are made of hyaluronic acid which is a natural substance found in the skin and works to trap water and maintain the intercellular space within the dermis. As our skin ages, hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin are gradually lost from the dermis, the end result is volume loss, skin laxity, and wrinkles. Juvederm, as well as the other products containing hyaluronic acids, works to repair this.

Microneedling Questions
What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a skin treatment procedure that involves an electric skin-needling device. The device contains 12 very fine needles. It is used during micro-needling procedures to break down old scar tissue and push skin cell generation. Cell production leads to the creation of new layers of elastin and collagen fiber and leads to improved blood flow in the skin.
What conditions does microneedling treat?
Some of the conditions that medical microneedling is known to improve include: mild to moderate acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, skin texture and pore size, and stretch marks.
What will I look like after the treatment?
Most people will notice redness and mild swelling similar to slight sunburn for 24-48 hours and there may be slight pinpoint bleeding and/or bruising. Skin will be noticeably smoother and more radiant within a week or two. Full results will take a few months to appear.
What is the downtime after microneedling?
Inflammation of the skin is very temporary and reduces greatly within a few hours. It may remain slightly pink for up to 48 hours after treatment. Using hyaluronic acid after the procedure can help reduce inflammation, and sunscreen can be used to protect the skin. Makeup use should be limited to mineral makeup.
How many microneedling treatments will I need?
Each patients skin condition determines the number of treatments that are needed. Moderate acne scars may need between three and four treatments, while thermal burns and stretch marks may need five or more. Conditions such as wrinkles caused by aging, one or two refresher treatments are recommended per year.
Microneedling can be safely repeated every four to six weeks as needed. Collagen induction requires at least three treatments, while scar reduction requires between three and six. Four to six weeks should pass between one treatment and the next. Microneedling can be used on all parts of the body (neck, décolletage, arms, legs, etc). Usually results begin to appear after the first treatment.
Patients can also have A-Cell (stem cells) Or their own Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) added to the procedure to greatly enhance the microneedling benefit for an additional charge.
Microblading Questions
What is microblading?
Microblading is the artistic technique of tattooing individual hair strokes with a handheld tool called a microblade. Unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, microblading artists hand draw each hair to match the color and coarseness of your eyebrows. The result? Gorgeous, natural looking eyebrows.
How long does microblading last?
Microbladed eyebrows typically last 1 to 2 years for most people, before it needs a touch up.
Does it hurt?
Most clients report little or no pain! We use a topical anesthetic before the procedure to numb the affected area, as well as numbing throughout the treatment.
Who is inelidgable for microblading?
We do not provide microblading for patients: under 18 years old, pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you're taking skin medications like ro-accutaine and steroids.
How long does it take to heal?
You'll be able to wear your new brows back to brunch! In the first 7 days, you'll need to avoid getting them wet, working out or wearing brow makeup. It takes about 30 days to completely heal, in which time you may experience mild scabbing.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Stay out of the sun and water while your microblading heals. Avoid chlorine, exfoliation creams, and sun exposure; they may cause your color to fade. We recommend applying a small amount of A&D ointment twice a day. Read more about pre/post care here.
