How many treatments will I need and what is the cost?
The cost is based on the size of the area being treated and the number of treatments needed to address the specific problem. If treating brown spots or melasma, most people will need up to 6 treatments for ideal results. If treating redness, most people will require approximately 3 treatments. Treatments are done every 3 – 4 weeks. Individual quotes for cost and number of treatments needed to treat your unique situation will be provided at the time of your consultation, after we have had an opportunity to do a complete assessment of your skin.
What does IPL feel like?
The sensation of the IPL is a mild stinging sensation or small rubber band snap. A bright light will be evident even though your eyes are completely protected with IPL eye shields or goggles. Anesthetics are typically not required. Afterwards, there can be a mild “sunburn” sensation that usually goes away after 1-2 days.
What are the side effects and risks?
The most common (and expected) side effect is a darkening of the more superficial brown spots of the areas being treating. This darkening of superficial brown spots will flake off after about 7-14 days. There can also be generalized redness of the skin and redness around the brown spots (like a halo). This can last for 48-72 hours.
Like any aesthetic laser treatment, there are some side effects and risks to be aware of. These risks such as burns, unwanted darkening and/or lightening of skin pigment can be increased by factors like tanning (indoor and outdoor), sun exposure, medications, and abrasive skin care use. To avoid complications, IPL should not be done during the sunniest months of the year, or prior to or after sun exposure.
Certain skin types and conditions are not candidates for IPL, so a free consultation prior to treatment is necessary. Our aestheticians and laser technicians can help you determine if IPL is right for you and offer alternate solution if needed.
How long does the procedure take?
Depending on what and how many areas are being treated, most treatments will take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.
What can I expect post-procedure?
Mild redness and sunburn sensation may occur immediately after the treatment and usually subsides within an hour. Areas of concern (i.e. freckles, sun spots, broken capillaries) will appear darker immediately after the treatment and may continue to look this way for 10-14 days.* A light makeup or tinted moisturizer should cover it. Sunscreen must be worn at all times.

How does it work?
Pixel RF fractional laser treatment process works by delivering microscopic bursts of electromagnetic radio frequency deep beneath the skin surface via an array of pyramid-shaped points on an RF electrode hand-piece. This energy penetrates and ablates the skin to controlled depths, where the body then triggers a healing response to produce new, healthier collagen. The procedure works to rebuild and strengthen the targeted tissue while leaving the surface skin intact. By avoiding epidermal penetration, the RF Pixel allows for a quicker healing process, reducing downtime while encouraging more effective and thorough results.
How many treatments will I need?
With its high-energy output, the device can achieve more in one session than most RF technologies. For optimal results, however, we generally recommend three to five treatment sessions, about four to six weeks apart so you can maintain a natural, healthy glow. This will vary depending on the needs and conditions of each patient, so your technician will work with you to determine the amount and frequency of treatments required to achieve and maintain your desired look.
What can I expect post-procedure?
After Pixel RF your skin will feel warm to touch and sting as though you have a bad sunburn. You may also experience swelling. THIS IS NORMAL. The stinging sensation, as well as the pink / red coloration usually
begins about 15 minutes after the treatment and lasts a few hours. Swelling usually subsides within 24-48 hours, while the redness decreases and resolves over 48-72 hours. Your skin will then feel somewhat dry and rough and may appear a bit darker during this time, usually 4-5 days.

Although rare, these risks include burns, unwanted darkening and/or lightening of skin pigment can be increased by factors like tanning (indoor and outdoor), sun exposure, medications, and abrasive skin care use, infections, and scarring.
In order to avoid these risks and side effects, you will be give a home care sheet with instructions on how to take care of your skin post laser treatment.
What does Pixel RF feel like?
Before the Pixel RF treatment, anesthetic cream is applied, which makes the treatment less uncomfortable. A roller is placed on the surface of the skin which causes a slightly uncomfortable tingling sensation with a progressive heat feeling. Most clients describe this treatment as bearable, along with short term redness and skin sensitivity similar to one felt after a sunburn.

How does it work?
The Alma Laser V-Shape Ultra delivers cold shear wave ultrasounds technology directly into whatever your problem area is (and you can get the treatment virtually anywhere!) It goes below your the surface of your skin. The energy from the ultrasound causes the fats cells to be destroyed. The radiofrequency technology supercharges the water molecules in your skin, that causes a heating reaction that makes your skin tighter, and more toned.
How many treatments will I need?
We will be able to determine how many treatments you will need during the initial consultation. During the consultation we will learn what your intended results are and how we can help. Typically, for ultrasound fat destruction, 1-4 treatments, spaced 2 weeks apart may be enough, depending on your diet. For radiofrequency skin tightening and cellulite reduction, 2-10 treatments spaced 2 weeks apart may provide admirable results.
What can I expect post-procedure?
V-Shape treatment results can be immediate. You should expect to see the better results as time goes on because most of the fat cells take a week or more to fully break down completely and leave your system. Some clients even notice more changes even 2-3 months later. For skin tightening treatments, results usually occur after the first session and every session after, too. Your max results will show about 3-6 months after your last session. That’s because the maximum amount of collagen and elastin will be made in your skin during that time (making your skin tighter, more toned, and younger looking).

Alma vShape Ultra is a FDA approved treatment, and it has been proven to be a safe and effective treatment that has been tested in wide-ranging clinic trials over millions of treatments. Most clients feel a warm tingly sensation, similar to a hot stone massage. You may get some 'hot spots' during treatment but those quickly subside and are gone by the time you're done with your treatment.

The treatment feels like an intense hot stone massage. Most clients say its a very comfortable treatment.
Will my results be permanent?
With vShape Ultra for fat destruction, the fat cells that are treated are destroyed. However, while treated fat cells cannot regrow, fat cells that are nearby can increase in size or become new fat cells can develop if one does not engage in a healthy lifestyle.
With vShape Ultra for skin tightening and cellulite reduction, maximum results for skin tightening are achieved six months after your last treatment and full results usually last about one year. Unfortunately, the aging process does not stop, and the skin will continue to loosen as we age. However, 1 or 2 maintenance sessions every 6 -12 months can help you maintain a youthful glow and smooth skin.
